Stay Close: Geopolitics and Proxemics in the Living Room (2015)
This project took place in the virtual living room of the Chatroom online environment, and a mock living room installed in Oliver Art Center. The physical site was installed for two weeks and was host to discussions, close-reading groups and the Chatroom was disabled after 3 weeks and is currently being turned into a play. It was an experiment in the cross-section between the academic environment, the home environment, the public, the private, the political, the personal, and a study of where these sites meet, overlap, and conflict. I was invited to make this work by the Community Arts Program for their annual residency Our Gallery is Your Living Room.
